As a wedding photographer *and* a bride-to-be, I love pouring through Martha's magazines and books- not just the wedding ones. They are full of inspiration and beauty. This would also be a great excuse to get to NYC (I'm 4 hours away) with one of my best girlfriends and make a mini vacation out of it!

Because I can do the BEST Martha Stewart impression (I give Ana Gasteyer, from SNL a run for her money!) I've been a longtime fan of Ms. Stewart's wedding magazine and now that I am engaged, the Martha Stewart Weddings magazine has become my bible!

HI Amy! I just started my Events + Wedding Company this year and have started my blog, Absolutely Charmed, that is doing quite well in the 5 months that it's been in existence. Martha Stewart has always been an icon that I look up to in creativity and her Weddings Magazine is a huge inspiration for what I do. Although I live in California, I was dying to go to this event when I first heard about it a couple of weeks ago. If I were to win these tickets, you can be sure that I will be on the next flight out to NY, I will choose to bring my sister with me (who lives in Brooklyn) and will be ready to enjoy the surreal experience of being at the 15th Anniversary Celebration to meet Darcy, you and other professionals that I hold the highest esteem for.

First of all, I am an absolutely HUGE fan of your unbelievable work at Amy Atlas and would just die if I could see one of your candy buffets in person! That is reason enough for me to want to go!I am from the DC area and wrote to you awhile back asking if you had a presence in DC because I would be first in line to work for you! My dream job, for sure. I can't even imagine how amazing the entire event will be- what an honor it would be for me and my best friend and bride-to-be to be in attendance! An event with Martha that's all about weddings AND with an Amy Atlas buffet? I can think of nothing more perfect! I will have died and gone to heaven! :-)

Years and years ago, before Martha was the Martha we know today,
I WAS A FAN. I was such a fan, that the theme for my 12th birthday party was "It's a Good Thing/Martha Stewart".
Martha reintroduced domesticity, creativity and the "better things" as a respected interest, hobby and occupation. The world was hungry for design and good recipes. She continues to oblige, and for that I continue to adore her.
After I met her at a book signing, and was dazzled by her charm and energy in person, I was relieved that meeting my lifelong "hero" was not a let-down as I had dreaded. She was friendly (in a very regal way), and engaging- further instilling my veneration for her.

Whether it's reading her magazines, watching her show, or perusing her cookbook, Martha is a part of my every day life.
I would be soo honored to celebrate the 15th Year of such a remarkable magazine- Martha Stewart Weddings.
I would bring my mother- who first introduced me to Martha, a very good thing.
Thank you.

I'd love to be able to go because the weddings in MS Weddings are so fabulously inspirational and it would be a treat to be in the same room as some of the people responsible. Plus, seeing one of your candy buffets would be pretty darn exciting (candy!!)! The opportunity sounds like a dream.

I am a mother, daughter, sister and soon to be wife. I have a very loving family and three beautiful children. For many years I did a little of this and a little of that!!! Until one day a light bulb went off in my head.....I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing. I was on 90-94 driving to my mother's home, It was summer and quite a sunny afternoon. If you are from Chicago you know full well that there are certain areas that are basically parking lots on a sunny day!! I am the type of person that while driving I "Think"...I think about all kinds of things....Life...My children....Work etc.
This particular afternoon I was thinking of what I wanted to do for the rest of my life....You know because one should always make life changing decisions in the car. I starting think back to when I was a small child planning my birthday parties. My father would give me a small sum of money and I would budget out every single last penny!! As I grew older I started planning events, parties etc for family and friends. I always remember doing it for me it was a creative outlet and second nature. It was that day....In the car....That I decided I would be an event planner. I thought to myself, well honestly I already do it! Why not do something everyday that I absolutely LOVE. That day began my journey to where I am today.....A very proud mother, daughter, sister, soon to be wife and now "Business Owner".........
Being able to attend the Martha Stewart anniversary party would honestly be the "Cherry" on top of this whirl wind life as a planner! Of course Martha Stewart is a huge inspiration for me and It would be an absolute honor to attend.

Because I can't take hearing my wife tell me about your "amazing candy buffet's" and incredible "wedding design and detail" anymore! Amy, My name is Michael, and I am the husband of Sarah who wrote to you today @ 3:42. Yes, she would be mortified to know I am leaving this comment, and yes I would be mortified to know that any of my friends knew I was leaving this comment (much less knew that I am reading a wedding blog currently), but please lady, put me out of my "OMG Amy Atlas is Amazing" misery! I could write until I was blue in the face about how Sarah LOVES wedding, or LOVES candy (Forget jewelry, bags, Christian Louboutins...Give that girl some Air Heads, a huge multicolored lollypop, and some peach rings, and your set for life on her favorites list), but I won't. Instead I'll take a different approach. Here is my heart wrenching plea. Amy, Sarah is the ultimate friend. She would do anything to make those closest to her happy. Well, her best friend Joanna has finally gotten engaged and I can't think of a better person to go with Sarah than she. Kind of "kill two birds with one stone" deal. Sarah gets the thrill of her life, and she can take her best friend to experience it as well. Well that's it, that's me begging you Amy. Help a guy out and allow his love of his life to experience the love of her life...Candy

P.S. It doesn't hurt that Martha is going to be there as well. I get to see Martha's shining face every day in my home as Sarah finds it impossible to throw out her magazines. Even the ones over a year old. Can you feel my pain? This is just meant to be for her. thanks for your time and goodluck to all you folks who feel the same way Sarah does.

I would absolutely LOVE to go!! I've been a Martha fan for a long time. I get the Martha Weddings magazine just so I can look at the cakes! I'm a cake enthusiast! ld love to see the beautiful cakes up close and in person. Of course I'm also an Amy fan and would be thrilled to see the candy display and to meet you in person as well Pick me, pick me!! Not to mention a night out without kids would be a treat in and of itself!! :)

I am a MARTHA devotee since childhood, when I got my first taste of her exquisite styling and exacting talent. Watching her glide through her warm kitchen and lush garden, I imagined that one day I might inhabit her glossy world. Taking a page from just ONE of Martha's creative gifts, I established a floral design business "Blossom and Branch" and moved to NYC! My dear friend, Jihan, another MARTHA devotee, has just launched her new event design company "Polished." Her enduring Martha love is epic and powerful and showers those around her with fabulousness. It has informed her art and business from the get-go. Please make our dream come true and offer us tickets to this event. You, and Martha, won't be sorry.

It is a "pink" party and I am hoping to set up a dessert/candy table similar to yours. I absolutely love your work!! I think this would be an amazing trip and opportunity! What more can I say - I want to win!!! :)

Nomination: Jihan Z.

I have known Jihan Z. for a many years. Ever since I have known her, she has had one idle - one hero, that she aspires to become. This hero is Martha Stewart. Jihan's everyday living/style revolves around Martha's ideas/inventions of domesticity in the home and workplace. Jihan has become a real genius in the world of design, with thanks to none other than Martha Stewart. She has designed her living quarters with a modern eclectic - mid century feel that looks as though Martha could have lived there. I see her cooking almost every weekend with the Martha Stewart cookbook wide open as she briskly beats the eggs.

Truly, if there were one person in the world that deserves these tickets, it would be my good friend, Jihan Z.

Martha has given me countless ideas over the years, many of which my sister will be benefitting from for her own special event, and iu'd love the chzance to shake that woman's hand and just say, "Thank you." Plus, getting swanked out for a fab party would be pretty fun;)

Wow! There are so many wonderful reasons that everyone wants to attend this event. Besides who wouldn't like to experience something like this in person?!!

Good luck with the event!

As a freshly minted newlywed who works full-time in the wedding industry, I am in love with all things Martha. I have been reading the magazine faithfully for years and love it when the fresh issue hits my desk. I have stacks of MSW tabbed and marked up and lined up neatly in magazine holders so I can reference them for great ideas at a moment's notice. The Martha Stewart Weddings website, magazine and blog are a daily part of my life and it would be a joy, an honor and a privilege to help celebrate such an exciting milestone.

I wandered aimlessly through a horribly boring life and school to get a career I didn't know if I really wanted. Then I got engaged in a moment opening my first bridal magazines I found my passion. Ever since then I have been putting my heart and soul into weddings. I love Martha Stewart and this would be an amazing opportunity for me. These people are the best of the best and it would be an honor to be in the same room as them. Not to mention I have never been to New York City and it would be a great romantic anniversary present!!!! (well for me at least :) )

Glittery sugared pears, velvety red bows, and topiary trees filled with delectable candies;the 1995 Martha Stewart holiday show awakened my gifting of event planning. I remember videotaping it. I even sat by the television with pen and paper to jot down the recipes. The Martha Stewart holiday show was my muse for Christmas cheer and holiday folly. As a blossoming event planner,I studied vicariously under Martha's tutelage for 7 years before starting my own event planning business. I watched every show and read all of her books. My motto was:"If Martha creates it,write it down". If I am selected as the Amy Atlas winner of the Martha Stewart tickets, I will arrive with pen and paper in hand. One can never underestimate the creative genius of Martha Stewart!

I've been reading Marth Stewart Weddings since I was 17 years old. As a teenage in love, my then-boyfriend would indulge my fantasies and buy me every issue. As an adult, I still love the beauty of weddings and the idea of making them personal and unique. With ten or so engagements and weddings happening in my life in the next year, I have many girlfriends looking to me for help. I often classify myself as the luckiest man on the planet for getting Heather to agree to be my wife. She is the most loving and giving person I have ever met. Heather works so hard to please other people and doesn't do anything for herself. But there was something missing in her, everyone could see it.
She is obsessively organized and loves planning. So it would only make sense she would fall in love with event design. I don't know how many times she would stay up all night planning a wedding from top to bottom, only to plan a new one the next night. She pours over blogs (like yours) and wedding magazines for hours. This would be a dream come true for her. And I would give anything to see her happy. Please pick my amazing fiance, Heather!

Dear Amy,

It's interesting to read everyone who desires to meet Martha due to her unmatched style and imprint on everyday living - what's even more interesting, is I've met "Martha Stewart." I've gone shopping with her, I've seen her apartment, I've eaten her food...as a result, my style in turn has been inspired and expanded.

Funny though, I said I've met "Martha Stewart" - and in reality I've met someone who encapsulates who "Martha" is - a figure that inspires and expands people's view of style, design and "living." Jihan is the essence of Martha - this ability, I am undoubtedly sure, has been nurtured by her study and implementation of all things Martha - but done with Jihan's own touch...a critical point that Martha would insist on.

As much as I would love to execute everything that "is" Martha in my own life - I find it even easier to consider these fine touches when I have one of her own representatives here to help me as if she were here.

Please invite her to next week's soirée where she can be inspired by the likes of Darcy Miller and Amy Wilkins - so that Martha's constituents (the rest of us)can continue to be served by one of her most well-represented agents (Jihan).

My sincere thanks,

I am so inspired by everything Martha Stewart weddings and the people they collaborate with bring to the table; it's a unique and creative perspective unlike anything else. I would just die to go to this event and appreciate the opportunity!

I would love to be picked because I love all things Martha Stewart!!
Plus seeing one of your Candy Buffets in person would be the icing on the cake. I am in the early stages of starting my own Dessert Buffet business and would think I was in a dream if I was picked to attend. Also getting a break from being Super Mom would be ideal. Did I mention I have never been to New York either? This opportunity would be a dream come true. So pick me pleeeaassse!!

not sure if i'm too late--it's only 11:20 in Vegas right now! I'm currently a student at The International School of Hospitality enrolled in a Wedding Design and Coordination certificaiton course and learning all about becoming a wedding planner. Vegas weddings are great, but could use a touch of Martha's class and style! I'd love to attend!!

Oh what I would give to one meet you and 2nd go to this spectacular event. I am a stay-at-home Mom that LOVES crafts of all sorts. I am the PTA President at my son's school and I have to throw all of the parties for my the teachers and staff. I am always looking for creative ideas to make life special for them and to express my creative outlet. I was browsing through your website and saw this terrific opportunity and started to write ASAP. Please pick me :)
Thanks so much and thanks for all of your wonderful inspiration. Leslie Fidler at lgranger@tampabay.rr.com

Nominating Jihan Z!!!

Please pick Jihan Z for this once in a lifetime opportunity! Jihan has a deep respect for Martha and her talents, and Jihan is one talented domestic goddess herself. Miss Z has culinary, presentation, decorating, and hosting talents that would knock everybody's socks off (they have knocked mine off)! I know how much she would treasure and appreciate this opportunity. I give my full recommendation for Jihan Z!

While we were all sitting in the room for Mindy's big celebration, it dawned on me. We are all sitting in these chairs because we woke up one day saying, "Hey, I think I'll do weddings or events;" its because it all stemmed from Martha.

Martha Stewart gave us the ideas, expanded our minds, got us excited and most of all made us feel like women again. We are able to throw Martha in the mix with carpooling, full-time jobs, spouses, friends, and most of all the gratification of the presentation we put out to display.

Even though there are tons of experts, Martha built the empire and through media such as print, radio and TV gave us all the hope, joy and courage to become exactly whom I / We want to be.

There is a little Martha in all of us; however the Martha in me is ready for more more more! To see first hand a Martha party, perfection and what it means to be the pioneer of women planners.

Imitation is the greatest form of flattery; and seeing a Martha event would cross ever "t" and dot every "i" because when it comes down to it. I have no problem being third behind Martha Stewart & Mindy Weiss, as long as I am mimicking their tastes, talent and extravagance!

My best,
Nicole Standley

Nomination: Jihan Z!

Jihan is the kind of woman that inspires creativity, ignites passions and fuels motivation in others, simply by the way she lives her own life. (Not unlike her idol, Ms. Martha Herself!) She is 'Quirky meets Sheik'; 'Crafty meets Glamour'. The arm of her influence extends further than I think even she is aware. She would absorb the magic of this experience, and then bring it home and generously shower it like pixie dust all over everyone around her.

Give Jihan these two tickets, and let her bring a little Martha Magic back to all of us here in the Northwest!

If there were one person in the world that deserves these tickets, it would be Jihan. Anyone who knows her knows how much she loves Martha. This would be a dream come true for her!
