This is just beautiful! I have been on the lookout for a cake stand for awhile and I just love this one. I do have 4 bridal showers coming up this year but I think I would definitely use it for my little girl's first birthday!

the shoppe owner said...

Wow! That is absolutely a gorgeous piece!!!

I would use it, not only for delightful edible items like cupcakes, and whatnot, but also for so many other things. You see, in my home, I use many pedestals. A large wooden one on my kitchen counter acts as my fruit "bowl", a beautiful swirled pedestal (with a pie plate on top) holds my olive oil, kosher salt pig, and other favorite seasonings that are more daily cooking use things, one is on my dresser in my bedroom and holds some of my jewelry, and so on.

I have a thing for milk glass, and while this doesn't look exactly like white milk glass (and the green, too!), it would go really nicely on a table of mixed milk glass pieces, don't you think???

Jessica said...

I'm making strawberry macarons for Valentine's Day and would pile them high on this gorgeous stand!

giovanna said...

I'm such an admirer of your work.you are fantastic and have been an inspiration to me ever since I/ve discovered your blog.
Sweets tables were totally unknown here in romania. I have done a few small ones for a couple of friends and just now I received a phone call from a friend that she will do one herself at her son's christening. I am sure it will get really popular pretty soon. I might say you started it all:)
I would use the stand at the sweets table I have to do for a good friend of mine's wedding in June.
Not sure though, whether the giveaway is valid outside of the us and Canada.

How about making the meringue disks in a square form and stacking in a colorful tower for Easter?

Today is Australia Day here in Australia so I would use this beautiful cake stand to display a tower of lamingtons!

I would like to sit on it...how pretty I would be if, well, if I could fit...I would be a cupcake, or a posy or confetti filled celophane- Hmmmm, now all I need is the stand!

I would use it for both photographing and serving cakes, pies, cookies...

I'd use it for a ton of things - most of the time as a centerpiece, as I can't find one that looks just right on my new dining room table! And then of course for cakes, cupcakes, etc for any parties/gatherings I host!
