Mother's Day Over-the-Rim Tea and Cookie Set
My family loves having tea and cookies after dinner. We drink out of petite tea cups and my sons like to pretend that they are serving the tea. It is usually the time when we reflect about our hectic day and we try (emphasize try - they are boys after all!) to have a moment of peace with them.
So when I saw Meghan Mountford's over-the-rim cookies, I flipped over the idea. Seriously, I can't get enough of this idea. An over-the-rim cookie and tea set is a thoughtful and sweet gift for moms on Mother's Day, and kids can participate in the fun of making it with this recipe here. Hopefully, some dads are reading this so that us moms don't have to make it for ourselves! Happy Mother's Day to all of my fellow lovely moms. I hope you get a moment of peace and r & r on your special day!

It is a great idea to put a cookie on a mug like that. Great tea time snack. But I guess I will try it after Mother's Day.
